FounderPipe vs LotsCRM for running more than one business
LotsCRM and FounderPipe start from the same idea: each business gets its own sealed workspace, rather than a pipeline in a shared database. They differ in who keeps the CRM up to date, how you pay, and what sits above the workspaces. Here is how, and who should pick LotsCRM.
We make FounderPipe, so weigh this accordingly. We have tried to be fair to LotsCRM.
The short answer
- Pick LotsCRM if you want an AI agent to keep your CRM up to date, you need to keep some teammates out of some businesses, or you have many small workspaces and want to pay for each one.
- Pick FounderPipe if you want to send outreach from each business’s own domain, start the day on one screen across every business, and pay one flat price per account.
What they have in common
LotsCRM’s homepage describes a workspace as an isolated sales book for one business or client, with its own contacts, companies, pipelines, deals and activity history. A FounderPipe workspace is the same shape: its own deals board and stages, contacts and companies, outreach lists and custom fields. In both, a contact added to one business does not appear in another. Both have follow-ups, a Today view and CSV import, and both are aimed at founders, consultants and small agencies rather than enterprise groups.
If you have read our workspace vs pipeline explainer, both are on the workspace side of it.
Where they differ
Who keeps it up to date
LotsCRM is built around AI agents. You connect Claude, ChatGPT or another agent over MCP or its REST API, and the agent reviews the pipeline, adds contacts, moves deals and logs calls. LotsCRM does not send email itself: your agent sends from elsewhere and records it. FounderPipe is built for a person working the list: it sends email and sequences from each workspace’s own domain, suggests how to handle replies if you switch that on, and puts follow-ups on Today. It also has an API, but it is not designed around an agent.
Who can open which business
In LotsCRM each workspace has its own members, with roles from owner to viewer, so you can keep a teammate out of a business. In FounderPipe a workspace separates records, not people: everyone on the account can open every workspace, and owners manage the team. If you need to hide one business from part of your team, that is a real point for LotsCRM.
One view across businesses
FounderPipe’s Today screen reads across every workspace, with overdue follow-ups, what is coming up and open pipeline, each tagged by business. LotsCRM has a Today view too; we found nothing on its pages saying whether it spans workspaces, so check with LotsCRM if that matters to you.
| LotsCRM | FounderPipe | |
|---|---|---|
| Separating businesses | A sealed workspace per business or client | A sealed workspace per business |
| Access per business | Members and roles per workspace | Everyone on the account sees every workspace |
| One view across businesses | Not described on its pages | Today reads across every workspace |
| Sending email | No; your agent sends and logs it | Email and sequences from each workspace’s own domain |
| AI | Run by your own agent over MCP or API | Can suggest how to handle replies; a person accepts |
| Pricing model | Per workspace: from $12/month for 3, or $5 a workspace pay as you go (October 2026) | Per account: $15 for 1 workspace, $39 for 5, $89 unlimited (14-day free trial) |
Check LotsCRM’s own pricing page for current plans. On both, running out of plan never deletes your data: LotsCRM makes an unfunded workspace read-only, and FounderPipe lowers your limits.
Who should pick LotsCRM
- You want an agent to do the data entry. If you already work through Claude or ChatGPT and want it updating the CRM for you, LotsCRM is built for that.
- Some teammates must not see some businesses. Per-workspace members handle that; FounderPipe workspaces do not.
- You have many small workspaces. Paying per workspace can work out cheaper for a long tail of quiet clients.
- You send email from another tool and only want the CRM to be the record.
Who should pick FounderPipe
- You do your own outreach. Each business emails from its own domain, with sequences, templates and reply handling in the CRM.
- You want one screen to start the day. Today shows what is overdue in every business at once.
- You want a flat price. One account price, unlimited teammates from the Founder plan, rather than a charge per workspace.
- You would rather work the list yourself than hand it to an agent.

Moving over
Export each LotsCRM workspace as CSV and import it into the matching FounderPipe workspace. FounderPipe matches each row against what you already track, so an import does not create duplicates or bring back a lead you archived. How the import works, step by step.
Questions about FounderPipe and LotsCRM
What is the difference between FounderPipe and LotsCRM?
Both give each business a sealed workspace. LotsCRM is built for AI agents to keep up to date, gives each workspace its own members and charges per workspace. FounderPipe sends email from each workspace's own domain, has one Today screen across every workspace and charges per account.
Does LotsCRM send email?
Its homepage says it does not: an AI agent sends messages with other tools and logs them in LotsCRM. FounderPipe sends email and sequences itself, from each workspace's own domain.
Can I keep a teammate out of one business in FounderPipe?
No. A FounderPipe workspace separates records, not access: everyone on the account can open every workspace. LotsCRM gives each workspace its own members, so if you need that, it is the better fit.
Is FounderPipe cheaper than LotsCRM?
It depends on how many workspaces you have. LotsCRM charges per workspace, from $12 a month for three as of October 2026. FounderPipe charges per account: $39 a month for up to five workspaces, $89 for unlimited, after a 14-day free trial. Check LotsCRM's current prices before deciding.
Can I move from LotsCRM to FounderPipe?
Yes. Export each workspace as CSV and import it into a FounderPipe workspace. FounderPipe matches rows against existing contacts, so you do not get duplicates or revive archived leads.
Which is better for a founder running several businesses?
If you do your own outreach and want one daily view across every business, FounderPipe. If you want an agent doing the data entry, or need per-business access control, LotsCRM. See how to choose a CRM for multiple businesses.
